The Great Colorado Sand Dunes is a cool place to visit, 200 foot dunes from the plains to the Snow covered Rocky Mountain Peaks. This place regenerates itself, sand gets carried downstream by water and the wind blows it back up. It is in the middle of nowhere. The sand dunes are lit up by a full moon in May. If you look closely you can see hints of snow on the dunes, they were covered on this morning but I got here later in the day. Photo: © James "Bo" Insogna
