Horse with Winter Season Snow and Fog
landscape scenic view of a beautiful white Horse in the winter season with snow and fog. North Boulder County Colorado. Some fun facts about horses. Horses can sleep both lying down and standing up. Horses can run shortly after birth. Domestic horses have a lifespan of around 25 years. Because horses eyes are on the side of their head they are capable of seeing nearly 360 degrees at one time. Horses gallop at around 44 kph (27 mph). There are about 75 million horses in the world. The left side of a horse is called the near side and the right side is the off side Mr. Ed, the talking equine star of the 1960s television series, was a golden palomino. He learned an enormous amount of tricks for his role, including answering a telephone, opening doors, writing notes with a pencil, and unplugging a light. Apparently, Mr. Ed would occasionally have a fit of temper, as befitting his star status, and would stand stock still, wheezing and refusing to move.
