Cloud to Cloud Lightning Storm
Cloud to cloud lightning thunderstorm. North East Boulder County Colorado 07.10.09 11:19pm 20 sec f4.9 . Very active storm but I don't think one bolt of lightning hit the ground. Lightning discharges may occur between areas of cloud without contacting the ground. When it occurs between two separate clouds it is known as inter-cloud lightning and when it occurs between areas of differing electric potential within a single cloud, it is known as intra-cloud lightning. Intra-cloud lightning is the most frequently occurring type. Striking Photography by James "Bo" Insogna. Buy Prints, Posters and Greeting Cards available all sizes. Guaranteed to liven any decor. Great for your home, office or makes a GREAT gift AND supports a Storm Chaser TOO ;-)!. Great Conversation piece too! All artwork has a 30-day, no questions asked, return policy. Like the colors in the clouds. My son and husband go out and sit on the porch when it is lightning, they love to watch the show. Very nice capture!
